Blue Quarry
A study of a painted Quarry- from the French word carré meaning square. They are usually square or diamond- shaped and often used in multiples to make up whole windows, or as a decorative background. I love painting historic examples of glass painting and this stylized foliate quarry design is no exception.
Here the painted and stained glass is leaded with beautiful sea-blue and yellow glass.
Each piece is signed and dated and comes in a beautiful oak frame ready to give to that special someone (even if that someone is you!)
All items are photographed on a lightbox and will appear different in different light sources and times of the day as light changes- this is the beauty of stained glass!
