So, over the last few weeks I’ve been working with Delyth on her window design in my studio, (see earlier post for details). After her initial painting on the foxgloves and a lovely bee, I added some more tone and colour, as well as some blue enamel in the background before leading and finishing the three panels.
They are due to be installed later this week! She and I will be waiting to see it in situ and finally where it was intended to be!
Foxglove and Honey Window. Designer: Delyth Evans. Made by Rachel Phillips and Delyth Evans
I am a stained glass artist living and working in the beautiful Preseli hills of West Wales.
I've chosen glass as my creative medium for its unparallelled intensity of light and colour.
I specialise in traditional glass painting and work mainly to commission in the creation of new work for churches, private and public buildings in the form of windows or some other architectural application. I also make smaller scale bespoke glass pieces using traditional stained glass techniques such as glass painting, staining and etching.
